Manchester Derby Preview
Manchester derby is here. Pellegrini is the manager under much pressure. He might be fighting to keep his job come Sunday. City has dropped from fighting for the EPL to 4th place in the league. Although in the run for UCL spot a 4th place finish will be disaster for Manchester City.
Van Gaal on the other hand has won the confidence of his players. They are enjoying their football. Players like Rooney, Mata some some new comers have sprung to life. Suddenly the team has enough depth with players like Di Maria, Falcao coming off the bench. Although playing at home Manchester must understand that City will not be an easy opponent.
They lost against Crystal Palace because they were wasteful In front of goal. it was a game they played well but not so successful in the final third. The big question here is, will Pellegrini stick with his 4-4-2 system? This system leaves City weak in the midfield. so many attacking minded players leaves them exposed when they loose the ball. Their defense has not been able to handle the pressure when exposed. Kompany and co will need to do a good job to keep the Red Devils at bay
Can Mata and Rooney continue their fine run? Rooney has excelled as a lone striker. He has so much support from his wing men who have been playing great. Young spreads the field well with his elusiveness and speed. He can be a hand full in space and a grat delivery when he crosses the ball. Mata on the other hand has excelled coming from the right hand on the field. He comes inside on a regular and brings a scoring threat with him
Manchester United will be tested by Aguero who is one of the best strikers in the EPL. They will have to prove themselves against a good squad that can keep the ball. Silva and his men have a great challenge and a chance to support their manager. This is the Manchester derby, winning away will be something great and a statement to finish the season on a high. Goalkeepers will definitely have a say in this. Both keepers have had a great season with De Gea being the best so far. Great
